Today, the H2020 DESOLINATION<\/a> project is holding its 3rd progress meeting in Paris. What a pleasure for the 21 project partners from Europe and the Gulf Cooperation Region to be together again!<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The whole team is delighted to be back at work after a few months’ interruption to develop an innovative process combining concentrated solar power (CSP) on the one hand, and direct osmosis (FO) desalination on the other, to efficiently produce green electricity and fresh water.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

H2020 DESOLINATION<\/a> started in 2021 and seeks to build a first-of-a-kind plant producing fresh water out of solar energy. The demonstrator will be sent to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, for testing in 2024.<\/p>\n

Oggi il progetto H2020 DESOLINATION tiene la sua terza riunione di aggiornamento a Parigi. Che piacere ritrovarsi di nuovo tra i 21 partner del progetto provenienti dall\u2019Europa e dalla Regione del Golfo! L\u2019intero team \u00e8 entusiasta di tornare al lavoro dopo alcuni mesi di interruzione per sviluppare un processo innovativo che combina l\u2019energia solare concentrata (CSP) da un lato e la desalinizzazione per osmosi diretta (FO) dall\u2019altro, per produrre in modo efficiente energia elettrica verde e acqua dolce. H2020 DESOLINATION \u00e8 iniziato nel 2021 e mira a costruire una centrale unica nel suo genere che produca acqua dolce con energia solare. Il prototipo verr\u00e0 inviato a Riad, in Arabia Saudita, per essere testato nel 2024.
