Njegov govor, predstavljen v italijan\u0161\u010dini, je ponudil prodoren pregled ciljev projekta in njegovega preobrazbenega vpliva. Projekt DESOLINATION, financiran v okviru programa Evropske unije Obzorje 2020, \u017eeli re\u0161evati izzive trajnostnosti z naprednimi tehnologijami, ki zdru\u017eujejo proizvodnjo obnovljive energije z u\u010dinkovitimi sistemi razsoljevanja vode. Gioele Di Marcoberardino je v svoji predstavitvi poudaril, da se DESOLINATION ne osredoto\u010da zgolj na proizvodnjo energije, temve\u010d naslavlja tudi klju\u010dne globalne potrebe, kot sta dostop do \u010diste vode in gospodarnost z viri \u2013 bistvena stebra za trajnostno prihodnost. Predavanje je udele\u017eencem ponudilo vpogled v to, kako meddisciplinarne in\u017eenirske re\u0161itve, kakr\u0161ne razvijajo v projektu DESOLINATION, prispevajo k \u0161ir\u0161im ciljem okoljske trajnostnosti in inovacij. Poudarilo je tudi pomen sodelovanja med raziskovalnimi ustanovami, industrijo in dru\u017ebo pri doseganju teh ambicioznih ciljev. Konferenca se je zaklju\u010dila z vodenim ogledom zgodovinske pala\u010de Palazzo Loggia, ki je udele\u017eencem omogo\u010dil mre\u017eenje in razmi\u0161ljanje o vplivnih razpravah dneva.<div
