Come mith us at MIX.E – The low-carbon energy mix event in Lyon!

Our project exhibited at MIX.E – the low-carbon energy mix event, in the “Europe in Action” section devoted to EU-funded projects, held at the Cité internationale in Lyon, France, on April 10 and 11, 2024!

Represented by Damien Serret from our project partner, TEMISth (Technology leader for high performances thermal systems), this event was a great opportunity to promote collaborative projects that help accelerate Europe’s transition to clean energy and decarbonization by bringing cutting-edge technologies to market in energy-intensive industries, renewable energies, green hydrogen, energy storage and more!

Energy specialist, manufacturers, local and regional authorities, researchers, funders & institutions: on the way to systems that are more autonomous, efficient and sustainable, but also – and the word is in everyone’s minds – more virtuous…

The DESOLINATION project presented at Advanced prototyping solutions meetings 2024!

The DESOLINATION project presented at Advanced prototyping solutions meetings 2024!

On April 9 and 10, our project was presented by our partner, TEMISth, at the 12th edition of the Business Convention for 3D printing, additive manufacturing, rapid prototyping and product development held at the Double Mixte convention center in Lyon (France), as part of the APS (Advanced prototyping solutions) meetings.

Represented by Jean-Michel HUGO, CEO of our project partner, TEMISTh (Technology leader for high performances thermal systems), this event was an excellent opportunity to promote the DESOLINATION project and to present their advanced manufacturing solutions for thermal management, as well as CNC and FSW additive assembly.

On Wednesday morning, Jean-Michel gave a talk on “Additive manufacturing applied to energy efficiency: the use case of the H2020 DESOLINATION project”.

Zoom on the event…

The Business Meetings dedicated to Additive Manufacturing in France offers suppliers the opportunity to connect with Contractors from various sectors such as aerospace, defense, automotive, electronic, rail, medical…

With its unique concept based on pre-selected and pre-planned 40 minutes BtoB meetings, APS Meetings is the most efficient way for businesses to network and engage cooperation: from equipment acquisition to R&D and Engineering services, through additive manufacturing and prototyping sub-contracting services, including raw material supply.

Zoom on TEMISTh…

Since 12 years TEMISTh supports big companies in the developmement of innovatives solutions from the design and the simulation of a complex physics to the manufacturing of prototypes and small series of heat exchangers, heat sink or cold plates.

Their team gather experts in CFD simulation, from air flow to supercritical heat transfer ; FEA for mechanical analysis ; heat exchanger design ; advanced manufacturing and experimental measurements.

TEMISTh is also developing its own solution such as heat recovery for sCO2 brayton cycle.

Zoom on the ETN sCO2 Working Group

The Supercritical CO2 Working Group was officially launched in August 2020. Its objectives are to develop, enable and optimise the use of supercritical CO2 power cycles by:

      • Highlighting potential use, applications and benefits.
      • Paving the way for funding opportunities by highlighting the research needs on sCO2 based power cycles, in order to contribute to their deployment in the future energy system.
      • Addressing operational issues/effects on components (turbomachinery, heat exchangers, combustion systems) related to the use of sCO2.
      • Exploring market opportunities.
      • Assessing and addressing operational safety aspects of sCO2-cycles based power plants.
      • Fostering the use of sCO2 as working fluid for power generation.
      • Creating a database of European open test beds

DESOLINATION showcased at Hyvolution – Europe’s outstanding event for the hydrogen field

DESOLINATION showcased at Hyvolution – Europe’s outstanding event for the hydrogen field

The DESOLINATION project was showcased by its partner TEMISTH at Hyvolution 2024 in Paris. This premier event, covering the full value chain of mobility, energy, and industry, provides a significant platform for business development, partnerships, and resource pooling. The tailored conference program supports informed decision-making and industry insights.

TEMISTH, responsible for developing heat exchangers using additive manufacturing, highlighted its work on addressing production challenges and complex simulations involving supercritical CO2 and molten salt.

Visitors could meet us at Booth U32, Hall 4, Paris Porte de Versailles.

Mark your calendars for the next Hyvolution event: January 28-30, 2025, Paris – Porte de Versailles. See you there!
